Lauren Helme, MMS, PA-C is a highly experienced dermatology physician assistant with over a decade of expertise in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Since beginning her career in 2011, she has developed a reputation for delivering thoughtful, results-driven care with a strong focus on both clinical excellence and aesthetic artistry.

Lauren's Background

A Sarasota native, Lauren attended Pine View and Riverview High School before earning her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida. She went on to receive her Master of Medical Science from Nova Southeastern University. In 2015, she relocated to California, where she continued practicing in the San Francisco area, further expanding her experience in advanced dermatologic care.

Lauren has extensive experience diagnosing and treating a wide range of skin conditions, with particular passion for managing acne, rosacea, and psoriasis, as well as detecting and treating skin cancers at their earliest stages.

She is known for her keen clinical eye and commitment to thorough, preventative skin care.

In addition to her medical dermatology expertise, Lauren is highly skilled in cosmetic dermatology. She specializes in laser treatments and advanced aesthetic procedures, and is recognized for her ability to enhance natural beauty using neuromodulators and dermal fillers with precision and subtlety. Her approach focuses on achieving refreshed, balanced results that align with each patient’s individual features and goals.

Lauren is also board certified in wound care and scar management, bringing a unique and valuable skill set to patients requiring advanced healing and post-procedural care.

She is an active member of several dermatologic societies and has participated in community health initiatives with organizations such as the National Skin Cancer Foundation and the National Psoriasis Foundation. Lauren returned to Sarasota in 2021 to be closer to family and is proud to serve her hometown community.
