What are Stretch Marks?

Stretch marks are characterized by long, narrow stripes on the skin, and are very common. They may develop from growth spurts, pregnancy, sudden weight gain and loss, and rapid muscle growth. Stretch marks can vary in length, thickness, and location, and the most common areas for them to develop are the breasts, abdomen, thighs, hips, and buttocks. Many individuals who have stretch marks are unhappy with their appearance, but there are options to reduce them.

Bio-enhanced skin therapy

Bio-enhanced skin therapy for stretchmarks is a treatment in which the growth factors from cytokine-rich plasma (CRP) from your own blood are embedded in a natural protein matrix and used to help the skin build from within.

Your blood will be drawn, placed into a centrifuge, and spun so that the CRP can be extracted. Once it’s extracted, we combine the CRP/Matrix with microneedling and injections to create active micro-wounds to activate the growth factors. This enhances collagen production, which results in firmer, smoother skin. Results from bio-enhanced skin therapy may take approximately 1-2 months.

Stretch Mark Camouflage

Stretch mark camouflage is achieved through the use of flesh-colored pigment that’s deposited like a tattoo directly into the stretch marks. Your exact skin color will be matched so that, once healed, the pigment helps the stretch marks blend more evenly into the surrounding skin. A few treatments will be necessary to get the best results. Our patients are very happy with this procedure, as it allows them to feel confident wearing skin-showing clothing and swimsuits without worrying about their stretch marks anymore.
